JOINS THE WAR EFFORT
Winning the
War with Food
BURBANK, CA—Walt Disney Studios has released
several animated short films to inform the American public about the importance
of conserving food. The film Food Will Win the War, produced for the U.S.
Department of Agriculture, stresses the importance of high output from our
nation’s farms. In another film, Out of the Frying Pan and into the Firing Line,
which was produced for the War Production Board (WPB), Minnie Mouse saves bacon
fat to be made into munitions, much to the disappointment of Pluto the dog. We
all must make sacrifices, even Pluto.
