NAZIS ESCAPE IN CANADA
Prisoners May Be Headed to U.S.
KINGSTON, Ont.—Officials reported yesterday that seventeen German prisoners of war have escaped from the Fort Henry War camp. Immediately upon this discovery, the police for Ontario and Kingston city were alerted to the missing POWs. Extra police were called to help search the city of Kingston. Army units joined the police in searching for the fleeing Nazis. There is speculation that the Germans may be along the Saint Lawrence River trying to cross into the United states and may have reached one of the islands in the river.
